Blah 飛機 Blah 機場

FishLamb is away from home.

So here I am at the Tacoma Airport in Seattle.
Gosh... Wasn’t aware I need to spend like 6+ hours here! -_-"
I've already successfully killed 3.5 hours, way to go~
Well, you know I don't really mind spending time alone – especially considering I've significantly cut down the time I spend fooling around with PYZK since Aug 8, 2008.

So, what I've done in the past 3.5hrs:
** Took my netbook out, tried to send an email or Facebook only then I found that there's not free wi-fi here! -_-" That's kind of ridiculous... I mean, even YVR & YYC have it?! Isn't the States supposed to be more advanced than Canada?
Did think about paying AT&T USD$7.99 for unlimited internet access for 24hrs, but, nah, don’t wanna make myself a webaholic in the next 7hrs.
So I turned out just watched my "Lucky (Tutorial)" again, admiring & at the same time laughing at myself, haha. I looked stupid enough. XD

** Walked from one end of the airport to the other end, browsing around the shops like a tourist (and I actually am). This is not a big airport in fact, slightly bigger than YYC; then I realized YVR isn't bad at all seriously, with a lot more interesting shops & stuff.

** Sat at one random gate (terminal?) & continued on the "Undomestic Goddess". Wow, it's hilarious but warm; I like it! :)
And you know what, this book has been sitting on my desk for 3 years, from HK to Vancouver to Cowgary! Can't believe I'm finally reading it & probably will finish it during this trip. And I've always thought that, to me, finishing an English book is considered an achievement.

** Sitting at a sports bar having my early lunch now (11:00am). I'm in fact more hungry & more tired than I would have imagined: I got up @ 3:30am this morning & all I had was an XL from Tim Hortons plus a croissant.
I ordered Soup & Salad; the clam chowder is good!! :)
The waitress asked for my ID when I ordered a Jack & Coke – haha, didn't imagine this still happens! But then I found that she also asked for ID from another man who is obviously in his forties or so, I won't take it personal.
The Jack & Coke cost me $7... wow, that’s expensive ah.
Hmmm... should have brought more USD with me, stupid.

Don’t know when will my hair start to look oily?? *worried*
Oh, and bringing a shoulder bag as carry-on is surely a bad idea. Backpack is always a better go. Well, next time I’ll know.

12 noon, took the MTR to the other terminal. Sweet.
I didn't actually count, but I guess they have like 10 "Hudson News" in this one single airport. Wonder if they have Shefield & Sons in the States?

Bought a BPA-free Nalgene; though, I don’t think I need another water bottle? Well it;s supposed to be a souvenir for SSC, but i used it first. :)
So sleepy... I wanna take a nap... z_Z"

So, after 9.5hrs of flight, here I am @ the Narita Airport.
Ok... I feel that I'm EXTREMELY stinky. By the time I got to BBB's place, it would have been 31hrs since I took a shower. Eew, disgusting. =(

It's really not a very good idea to transfer @ NAA when I don't have ANY yen.
Seemingly I've thought VISA is a magical piece of plastic & will take care of all things.
But no... Firstly, once again they don't provide free wi-fi here (duh!); secondly, the "internet access stations" here only take yen (coins) but not VISA. Yeah, right. :ppp

Got no more energy to walk around the airport like I did in Seattle.
And my time zones are totally messed up: Cowgary, Seattle, Tokyo, Hong Kong – none of their time zones match. I'm confused.

Anyhow, I end up went to a snack shop to get my 3rd alcoholic beverage today (well, maybe technically I didn't drink them all within the same day). What's that, "Kirin Chu-Hi"? I guess it's supposed to be something like plum wine, but it only tastes so-so. Got a pack of Matcha flavor Kit-Kat as well. I paid USD & got back some yen as changes; wow, my very first encounter with yen!

Then I went to another gift shop & turned out getting two “MinBao Superman” toys; though I'm not sure where I'm gonna place them yet.
Man, really should have minimized the expense of this trip... After all, this trip is supposed to have its own purpose, but I still feel like I'm a traveler or so. Bad Y.

Oh, and wow, they really have those "ass-cleaning" toilets in the airport!! XD I didn't give it a try though, cuz they look gross...

Wonder how long will it take to fly from Tokyo to Hong Kong?
I arrived at Tokyo @ 4:00pm local time, and not sure why I wont be in HK until 10:30pm??
And I must say North-West serves really crappy coffee... Though, I did manage to finish it. I guess if it was SSC, she would just take a sip & give it up. :)
Well I guess in general their food is just not impressive at all, even though I don't consider myself being picky on food.
I miss the coffee that JAL serves - just the aroma itself will have waken you up; is that UCC coffee? Yum.
***************************************************************

Gee... this is endless – finally I’m on my flight flying from Tokyo to Hong Kong. I mean, YAY! -_-"
I can’t help thinking of my FA friends whenever I see HK girls FAs. It'll be funny if I'm being served by them one day; but I don't fly with Cathay that often, if at all.

Great progress on "Undomestic Goddess", maybe I can finish it before I arrive HK if I work hard enough! Haha, sounds like I'm WRITING the book. :p
*********************************************************************

Yeah!! Here I am, @ BBB's place!!
Special thanks to Bean Bean & Yip Yip who went all the way to airport to pick me up, much appreciated!!
Stupid me, forgot to bring my HK ID, & I panicked for a while that they won’t let me enter HK... (ignorant!!! -_-")
Lucky that for whatever reason I've always remembered my ID #, and they actually let me skip the long "visitors" line-up & pass through the "residents" counter (MUCH faster!). Should have called it "it's a breeze".

All travelers were required to fill out a "health check" form (you know how cautious they are with H1N1). So, to be honest, I checked the box of "coughing", and they actually asked me to walk a long way to a booth to take my temperature, wasting 15mins of my time. -_-" And I was awarded a mask as well – it's my very first one and they actually needed to show me how to wear it. I seriously think I'm Low B or what.
And it's impressive that the luggage arrived not long after; you really can't beat the pace of HK ppl!
Actually I have been worrying about my luggage, wondering if it's really gonna go straight from Cowgary to HK. AND IT DID!! Cool!

For whatever reason I kept talking on the way to BBB's place... so noisy!! ~_~"
I'm sure I'm the most MoLiu friend of hers. :)

So, here I am...
Thanks God for the not-so-smooth but safe trip. :)
