Blah 爺爺 Blah 喪禮

FishLamb is proud of her grandpa.

So here we finished up with Grandpa's funeral stuff.
Many friends & relatives showed up last night at the memorial service, some of them actually came all the way from Guang Zhou; really appreciate that.

Before I headed to HK, well, even when I was on my loooooong way to HK, I felt like I wasn't prepared for the funeral AT ALL.
Yet the adults have got all the things straightened out already, all I needed to do was to BE THERE.

Anyhow... It's sort of weird to listen to Grandpa's stuff / stories from others. Though I spent a bulk part of my childhood with my grandparents, that part of my life is quite far away from me as of now.
But of course, I still love them a lot & respect them a lot, and the bonding is special.

I'm truly proud of my Grandpa... He's such a nice, kind, & easy-going guy in many people's mind. And that is so true, cuz as far as I remember, it wass usually Grandma yelling at him instead of the way around.
And he is fairly educated as well... In case you don't know, it was him who picked the name "Chi" for me, with the meaning of second daughter; and I love it.
It's a blessing that he believed in Jesus few years back, knowing that one day I'll meet him again.
But for now, I miss him.

Grandma was tougher than we all have thought. Uncles & Aunties even thought maybe she should stay home instead of going to the funeral.
Thanks God that she was doing OK at the funeral. Prayers count.
However, she isn't doing very well in general. Her memory is much worse than I could imagine - she forgets who I am, and sometimes sheveven forgets Grandpa has passed away already.
Well, maybe it's a good thing to her? I don't know...

Turned out I really didn't have time to meet with my friends, but I did have the chance to hang out with BBB.
Thanks for everything my dear buddy: the care you showed to me & my family, your presence, the day-off that you took, the fact that you insisted going to airport with me etc...
And remember, not because you've moved back to HK thus you haven't met another me; you simply won't meet another me no matter where you go. :D
Will see you again real soon my dear, gotta treat you a nice dinner!
Oh, and of course thanks for showing me how to use Picasa 3, and introducing me to Band B - funny people indeed. :)
